Short version: we collect nothing

Your images are processed locally in your browser. We never see, store, or transmit your image files. No account required. No tracking beyond basic, anonymized analytics.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information. Specifically:

  • We do not require you to create an account.
  • We do not collect your name, email, or contact information.
  • We do not log the files you process.
  • We do not store any images you use with this service.

2. Image processing

All compression, conversion, and resizing operations run entirely inside your web browser using the Web Canvas API and JavaScript. Your image files are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party server. You can verify this by using the browser's developer tools network panel โ€” no file upload requests will appear.

The only exception is the AI Alt Text feature. When you use that tool, your image is temporarily sent to Cloudflare's edge network for AI inference. Cloudflare processes the image in memory and returns a text description. No image data is stored or retained by Cloudflare after the request completes. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that processing: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

3. Analytics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page usage patterns (e.g. which tools are most popular, which countries visitors come from). Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-preserving: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint individual users, and does not track you across sites. No personally identifiable information is collected. See Cloudflare's web analytics documentation for full details.

4. Advertising โ€” Google AdSense

This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is known as interest-based advertising.

You have the following options:

For more information on how Google uses data when you use our site, see: How Google uses data from sites that use our services.

5. Cookies and consent

When you first visit this site, a cookie consent banner is shown at the bottom of the page. You can choose to Accept All cookies or Decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key cookie_consent.

  • Accepted: Google AdSense loads and may set advertising cookies for personalised ads.
  • Declined: Google AdSense is not loaded. No advertising cookies are set by this site.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, or by calling window.__cookieConsent.reset() in your browser's developer console โ€” this will reload the page and show the banner again.

Third-party cookies that may be set when ads are enabled:

  • Google AdSense โ€” ad personalisation and frequency capping.
  • Cloudflare โ€” security and performance (e.g. bot detection).

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Removing cookies does not affect your ability to use any tool on this site.

6. Hosting and infrastructure

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect server-side access logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, URLs) for security and infrastructure purposes. These logs are not accessible to us and are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

7. Data retention

Because we do not receive or store your image files, there is no image data for us to retain or delete. Aggregate, anonymized analytics data collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics is retained according to Cloudflare's own retention policies.

8. Children's privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

9. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you have certain rights regarding personal data. Because we do not collect personal data, most of these rights are not applicable in practice. However, if you have questions about data held by third parties (Google, Cloudflare) on our behalf, please consult their respective privacy policies and opt-out mechanisms linked above.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Contact

If you have questions or concerns about this privacy policy, email us at [email protected], open an issue on our GitHub repository, or visit our Contact page.
